Five Simple Steps to Having a Healthy Child
Did you know there are five simple guidelines that can be followed to ensure that a child is born in good health?

1. Get early and regular pre-natal care.

2. Never drink alcohol during pregnancy. Alcohol can cause birth defects or mental retardation.

3. Do not smoke. Smoking increases the chances of having a miscarriage or a low birth-weight baby.

4. Never take drugs or medications unless a doctor who knows you are pregnant approves them. Some medications can cause severe disabilities or even result in death of a baby.

5. Eat nutritious foods.

Always remember what is done during pregnancy is forever for a child.
